It features the Avengers aiding the Inhumans: Triton recruits them to rescue the exiled Black Bolt from San Francisco and overthrow the usurper Maximus, who allied with the Kree and mind-controls Attilan's citizens. Includes a flashback to Maximus's past betrayal and the tragic death of Black Bolt's parents. The Avengers battle mind-controlled Inhumans, shatter Attilan's protective dome with Black Bolt's voice, restore him to the throne, but a Kree agent escapes with Rick Jones, setting up the next issue. The story title homages Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes." Neal Adams' artwork is highly regarded.
