After Batman knocks him into a passing truck, he tries other “benign” hats, but each disguise still ends in theft. Batman finally traps him at a party where Jason Bard announces he is “throwing his hat into the ring” for district attorney. The Hatter arrives in a chef’s hat and is captured. Includes a one-page childhood origin flashback for this Mad Hatter.
