• Lead 17-page “Night of the Savage” by Gerry Conway, Don Newton and Dan Adkins. After Gotham Harbor, Blockbuster washes up near Bleak Rock, West Virginia, and a miner takes him in. Smash-and-grab jobs look like him. Batman hits one and finds Ajax, an ex-circus strongman. Then a news photo. Union boss Dooley thinks Batman is there for him, knocks him out and dumps him on Blockbuster.
• 8-page Batgirl “The Tightening Web!” by Cary Burkett and José Delbo. Barbara charged with murder. Parole to Gordon’s house. She goes out as Batgirl. Assistant at the R&D centre helped plant the frame.
