Key Facts: These two scarce 1972 mass-market paperbacks from Paperback Library were among the very first collected editions of the legendary Green Lantern/Green Arrow “Hard Travelling Heroes” run by writer Dennis O’Neil and artist Neal Adams. The stories marked a revolutionary shift in mainstream superhero comics by tackling real-world social issues such as racism, poverty, environmental destruction, political corruption, and drug addiction (most famously the “Snowbirds Don’t Fly” heroin storyline with Speedy). Volume 1 primarily collects early road-trip stories (#76–79 and Showcase material), while Volume 2 continues with later issues including the groundbreaking drug arc. These small-format paperbacks with Neal Adams covers and interior art are highly sought after by collectors as early and rare printings of one of the most influential comic runs of the 1970s.

Our story: This is my father's "The Hoarder's" private comics, toys, memorabilia and collectables collection he's been amassing for over 65 years. We are guesstimating somewhere in the vicinity of half a million comics + the rest of the collectables, ALL of which are to be sold. While we are somewhat aware of certain acquisitions, there is an abundance of anticipation and excitement of the yet to be discovered, we would love you to join us on our journey which is only just beginning...
