Jeff Wilkinson created the Australian Shadow as London crime-fighter Jimmy Gray, who also works the underworld as Limpy Olsen. Peter Chapman wrote and drew the second series, and later 1962 Tricho printings such as this issue reuse those Chapman stories. The title became Australia's second-longest-running comic after The Phantom.
